Sneak Peak: New Speaker Ring Light Option

When we were designing our original speaker rings, one of the primary design goals was a material that wasn’t too see-through, would blur the individual points of light, but that still had super translucence for brightness.   At the time it didn’t even occur to us to question the overall color. 

Thinking about since we’ve noted that in boats a lot of gel coat is white and maybe white speaker rings are a good option in many cases there.  But what about in golf carts, ATVs, and even cars and trucks?  It occurs to us that in many cases, a darker option might be more complimentary.

So we went back to the same engineers that perfected the originals.  Turns out it was not as easy as it might seem.  They’ve been working on it for some time to get the formulation just right.  And today we received a prototype of what looks to be just that.  It will have to go through stress testing but barring a problem there, we think we will have our opaque black LED speaker rings available for sale soon.
